Q. Is Booth
& Co owned by an insurance company or bank?
A. No. Booth
& Co is truly independent. We have a Halifax Bank Agency in
our office, but we are not owned by the Halifax.
Q. Are Booth
& Co a progressive company?
A. Booth &
Co have invested heavily in both human resources and technology.
Whilst keeping up to date with digital photography, email,
high quality printing, palmtop computers producing floor plans
for property particulars, use of colour and PC’s our biggest
asset is our staff.
Q. Do Booth
& Co value professionalism?
A. Yes. Integrity,
honesty and professionalism are vitally important to us. We
are members of the National Association of Estate Agents,
the Guild of Professional Estate Agents and the Ombudsman
Scheme for Estate Agents and as such we adhere to strict codes
of conduct.
Q. Do you
charge for advice and market appraisals?
A. No. We welcome
the chance to provide you with an idea of the price you are
likely to achieve for your property and other advice (such
as enhancing your property ready for selling) free of charge.
Q. How do
you value my property?
A. Valuing
property is part art, part science! Booth & Co use a combination
of recently sold comparable properties, local knowledge and
instinct. This ensures that your property reaches the market
at the best possible price.
Q. Will you
tie me into a lengthy sole agency contract?
A. No. We only
ask for 2 weeks notice to terminate a contract. We firmly
believe that if we a doing a good job you will keep us. If
we fail you in anyway then we believe we don’t deserve to
be your agents!
Q. If my house
does not sell, will Booth & Co charge me?
A. No. We offer
a No Sale, No Fee service.
Q. Where do
you advertise?
A. Booth &
Co offers a wide and varied advertising schedule including
a combination of local, regional and national press including:
Wareham Advertiser, Dorset Magazine, Property Platform, Times
and Daily Telegraph to mention just a few.
Q. Are you
a member of other property websites?
A. Yes. Booth
& Co are members of Fish4homes, Primelocation, Channel 4TV’s
property website section, Property-Platform and are highly
rated on most major search engines.
Q. Are you
open on Sunday?
A. Booth &
Co are open weekdays 9am – 5.30pm, Sat 9am – 4pm and have
staff available for accompanied viewings on a Sunday.
Q. What happens
when I receive an offer?
A. Once an
offer(s) has been placed on your property and in order for
you to make an informed decision; Booth & Co will take into
account the amount of the offer(s), the proposed timescale
of the prospective buyer(s) and whether this matches your
circumstances, the buyer(s) ability to proceed by qualifying
the financial background of the buyer as well as any related
sale (chain) and we look to gain an impression of whether
we believe the buyer will proceed to a satisfactory completion.
Booth & Co will then base our recommendations relating to
the offer(s) on the facts and impressions we have. However,
the decision of whether to accept an offer is yours.
Q. What happens
once Booth & Co has found a purchaser for my property?
A. From the
outset Booth & Co aim to take the stress out of moving. Once
a suitable purchaser has been located and a sale agreed, a
trained sales progressor is appointed to deal solely with
the after sales support for your property.
